cliviasforsale.com offers Clivia bred and raised by Daniel ("Danie") Pretorius in Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa.

Daniel grew his first Clivia from seed in 2004 and has been active in the Clivia Society and in judging since around 2009. He is Chairman of the Judges Committee of the Northern Clivia Club. Over the years he has bred thousands of plants from seedling to maturity, working with genetics acquired from leading world breeders.

The register

Every plant offered here comes from the breeder's own register, kept across his tunnels and greenhouses. The register records each plant in the vocabulary of the Clivia Society: species, colour class, flower shape, variegation and maturity. This platform preserves that record alongside the plants it sells.

What is offered

The catalogue covers mature and flowering plants, offsets, seedlings and seed. An offset is a basal shoot from a parent plant that grows into an identical clone of that parent. Maturity is graded by leaf count. Seed is seasonal and is listed only when available.
